What is this program?
The goal of the Community Service Grant Package is to reduce poverty, revitalize low-income communities, and support low-income individuals and families to become self-sufficient.
The Community Services Grant Package is designed to help low-income individuals and families: obtain and keep meaningful employment; attain an adequate education; improve the use of available income, obtain adequate housing, obtain emergency assistance, including health and nutrition services; remove obstacles that prevent self-sufficiency; and achieve greater participation in community affairs.
The United States Department of Health and Human Services provides Community Services Grant Package funds to the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the State of Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and scheduled tribes. by the Federal Government, to state-recognized tribes and tribal organizations acting on behalf of eligible tribes.

To qualify for this benefit program, you must define your financial status as low or very low income.
